Web Design in Surprise Arizona – Need it?

Well, these days, it seems as though every Tom, Dick, and Harry own a web design firm. This is a good thing for those who are trying to save some money, but bad for those who are trying to build a legitimate web presence. There are dozens of ‘Fly-by-Night’ firms around the Phoenix area that have and will come and go. So how do you choose the right web design company? It’s not easy, so here are some pointers.   

1) Never Rush Into Anything – No matter how ”fast” you think the  site needs to be launched, you never want to rush into things. This can cause numerous issues, starting with low quality and functionality issues. If a firm says that they can launch your site in 24 hours, expect a low quality, static site. Anything dynamic will take extra time. If you are looking for a custom design, expect to wait a couple weeks, or even months for that matter.

2) It’s Not ALWAYS About Price – I know you’ve probably heard the phrase, “If something sounds to good to be true, then it probably is, ” so I won’t reiderate it. If a company claims that they are established, and they only want to charge you a couple hundred bucks, it means one of two things: a) they are not that good – or b) they may outsource their work. Another explanation may be that they use templates, which allows them produce high quality (non-unique) website at a very fast rate. Sometimes price = quality is not a true statement. You want to see their portfolio, and ask a lot of questions. Sometimes developers undercut their prices just to build their portfolio, so be careful.

3) What Type of Operation are They Running? – It is very important that you know WHO will be developing your site. Is it a firm, or is it a freelancer? How many people will be touching your site before it’s launched? These are not big deals, in fact, every company is a little different, and any successful company has unique methods of getting things done.  You need to know these things so that your expectations are set appropriately. Sometimes, if you just know which questions to ask, you can weed through the bogus companies with relative ease.
